This week I’m hosting Bonnie S. Calhoun with Lightning (US only) and Lacy Williams with Heart of a Cowgirl (worldwide). If you want to enter the drawings for any of these books, please leave a comment on your post with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (November 1st) evening.

Interview with the heroine from Heart of a Cowgirl by Lacy Williams

1. Melody Carter, tell me the most interesting thing about you.

I own a dress shop in Redbud Trails, Oklahoma. Yeah, it’s a small town, but I do a lot of internet marketing and supplement my income through that. Plus, folks here in town are starting to recognize that I carry some of the trendiest clothes!

2. What do you do for fun?

I have a list. Quit laughing. I like to be organized! My list has all the things I want to do over the next few years. Right now, I’m training for a marathon. I haven’t scheduled the actual marathon yet, but that’s what I’m working on.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?

Well… there’s this one thing on my list. Going on a first date. And there’s this guy that I really wanted to ask. But so far, I’ve been too chicken to do it.

4. What are you afraid of most in life?

Rejection. Humiliation. Failure. Spiders. Heights. Public speaking. Traveling in big cities alone. Being kidnapped. Oh, you just wanted one thing? Hmm…

5. What do you want out of life?

At the end of my life, I want to look back and say that I have no regrets. I want to travel. I want to experience things. But mostly, I don’t want to live in fear.

6. What is the most important thing to you?

Right now, my dress shop. I’m still in the startup phase, I’ve only been doing this for three years. But I wouldn’t mind connecting with someone (see my answer above re: first date!) and falling in love…

7. Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book?

I read a lot of fashion magazines. That’s not that interesting though. I like to read books about grand adventures and sweeping love stories. Happily ever afters only, though.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I had some health problems when I was really little. I wish it had never happened.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

I don’t have a pet, but I love horses. Well, I think I’d love horses if I’d ever met one. I’d like to learn to ride.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

I would love to go back in time and meet Jane Austen. I’d like to ask her some things about her books.
