Interview with the heroine from The Doctor’s Second Chance by Missy Tippens:

1. Violet Crenshaw, tell me the most interesting thing about you.

I guess most interesting is that I’ve wanted to be a doctor from the time I was a child. At first, I wanted to be a surgeon like my dad. Later, I decided to become a pediatrician to help children.

2. What do you do for fun?

I like to go running—although it’s as much to relieve stress as it is for fun.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?

I hate to admit I dread speaking with my parents. We’ve had a strained relationship for years.

4. What are you afraid of most in life?

I’m afraid that because of past mistakes, I’ll never get a shot at happiness.

5. What do you want out of life?

I want to work hard to make a difference in children’s lives.

6. What is the most important thing to you?

Loyalty. And, believe it or not, family.

7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?

It probably doesn’t sound fun to most people, but I enjoy reading medical journals.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I’d like to be more laid back and have more fun.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

No, I’m gone from home too much.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

Sometimes I think I’d like to go back to high school and have a do-over. I would make better decisions.
