This week I’m hosting Winnie Griggs with Second Chance Hero (worldwide) and Richard Mabry with Fatal Trauma (US only). If you want to enter the drawings for the books, please leave a comment on your post with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (May 24th) evening.
Interview with the hero from Second Chance Hero by Winnie Griggs:
1. Nate Cooper, tell me the most interesting thing about you.
Well, I don’t know if you’d call this interesting or not, but I spent ten years in prison for robbing a bank. I had my reasons, but I’m trying to put it all behind me now and make a fresh start. I sure hope the folks in this town of Turnabout I’ve moved to will give me that chance.
2. What do you do for fun?
Like I said, I just got out of a ten year stint in prison, so right now just being able to come and go as I please and stand outside and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air is a real treat for me.
3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?
I can’t really think of anything right now. I’m more of a ‘go ahead and get it over with’ type of guy.
4. What are you afraid of most in life?
Being defined by the crime I committed and the time I served in prison
5. What do you want out of life?
To be accepted into the community
6. What is the most important thing to you?
Family
7. Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book?
I haven’t had much opportunity to read lately, but I enjoy biographies.
8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My impulsive nature. Though the time I spent in prison did beat a lot of that out of me.
9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?
I have a dog who more or less adopted me. Beans is his name and he’s a little bit of a thing. He reminds me some of the dog my sister had as a kid.
10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?
I’d go back to the time when my sister was still alive and try to find another way to help her that would allow me to stay by her side until the end.
Hi Margaret and Winnie, Nate Cooper has found himself a good town to start over in. At least he doesn’t have to worry about a background check unless he decides to tell people. Looking forward to seeing how he gets along.

I really want to read this book. I want to see what Nate will get into.

Hi Connie. As for what Nate ‘gets into’ the poor man gets thrown into the middle of the town happenings almost as soon as he arrives!
This looks like a good one! Thanks for the giveaway!
