Interview with the hero from Can’t Buy Me Love by Beth K. Vogt:
1. Reid Stanton, tell me the most interesting thing about you.
Some people would say the most interesting thing about me is that I’m the son of Bruce Stanton, the well-known restaurateur. Or that my younger sister, Lydia, is married to a British movie star. I’m a CPA.
2. What do you do for fun?
Numbers are fun. I have a Sudoku Plus app on my phone. My fiancée, Bellamy, and I have two favorite restaurants in Colorado Springs that we like to go to for date nights. I’m a creature of habit, but most people wouldn’t find that interesting.
3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?
I’m a “get it done” kind of guy. Even filing your taxes – just do it. Talking with my parents sometimes . . . but I wouldn’t say I dread it. It just isn’t always the easiest thing. Doing my taxes is easier.
4. What are you afraid of most in life?
Debt. Not going there. I’m . . . just not.
5. What do you want out of life?
To marry Bellamy Hillman. She taught me how to laugh again.
6. What is the most important thing to you?
I like a routine. Order. I don’t know if I would say that was the most important thing to me, but it is important.
7. Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book?
I’m a long-time Tom Clancy fan. And C.S. Lewis.
8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would go back to my early college years and make some different choices. Be wiser about my group of friends.
9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?
No, no pets. But my mother has this mutt of a dog named Wiley. That’s how I met Bellamy. I agreed to pick Wiley up from his weekly grooming session – and Bellamy was the dog groomer.
10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?
I would like to have a chance to sit down and talk with C.S. Lewis. A brilliant man, and yet he seemed very down to earth.
Seems like a squared away kind of guy. Would love to win a book.

Connie: You never know about the guys who seem “squared away.”
;o)
Love, love, love the idea of winning this book. Thank you for the opportunity!

Melanie,
Thanks for stopping by and finding out more about Can’t Buy Me Love.
My mother loves sudoku. I’m not one for numbers much. A lovely interview.

True confession: I’m not a sudoku fan — but it’s fun that my imaginary character can be one! 🙂
I enjoyed the interview. Reid sounds like a man who has it all together and knows what he wants in life. I would LOVE to win a copy.
😀 Smiles & Blessings,

Reid is an interesting hero — and he certainly wants to have it all together. Don’t we all?
