I91eIcfH1FSL._SL1500_Interview with the hero from A Pony Express Christmas by Rhonda Gibson:

1. Jake Bridges, tell me the most interesting thing about you. I suppose the most interesting thing is that I recently took a job for the Pony Express as a stock tender. I take care of the riders horses.

2. What do you do for fun? I enjoy fishing, especially in the winter, ice fishing is a lot of fun.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it? Mucking out stalls.

4. What are you afraid of most in life? Never being loved.

5. What do you want out of life? To someday have my own ranch.

6. What is the most important thing to you? Recently, I discovered I have a niece. She’s what’s most important to me now.

7. Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book? I read the Bible. I love reading about King David.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? My stubborn pride. I’m working on it and I suppose it’s not as bad as it used to be.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet? No, I don’t have time for pets but I do love my horse.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why? I’d go back to the day that my brother told me he’d married my fiancé. Because I regret leaving and never speaking to him again.

  1. Hi, Margaret. Ms. Gibson’s book sounds like a delightful Christmas historical, and Jake seems like an honest, forthright hero. I’d love to win a copy of “A Pony Express Christmas.” Thanks for the opportunity to participate in the giveaway. Blessings!

    • Good morning, Sybil. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Margaret, I absolutely love character interviews. I think they tell so much more about the book. Rhonda, this sounds like a wonderful book. Jake sounds so human and complicated. I truly hope he reunites with his brother and gets his ranch. Thank you for sharing.
    Merry Christmas

    • Thanks Katrina! I love this story and Jake was a wonderful character to work with.

  3. This sounds like a good story and Jake sounds like a good man.
