This week I’m hosting Lorraine Beatty with His Small-Town Family (giving away a set of the first four books in Home to Dover series), Martha Rogers with Love Never Fails (US and Canada only) and Shanna Hatfield with The Christmas Bargain (contest information below). If you want to enter the drawings for the books, please leave a comment on your post with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (Nov. 16th) evening.
Interview with the heroine from The Christmas Bargain by Shanna Hatfield:
1. Filly Granger, tell me the most interesting thing about you.
I love to bake and try out new recipes. My husband, Luke, claims my cooking can make grown men weep although I’ve never witnessed such an outlandish claim.
2. What do you do for fun?
Luke and I greatly enjoy debating and we often take opposing sides of issues after reading an article in the paper. We also like to entertain our friends here at Granger House in Hardman, Oregon.
3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?
I hate going down to the basement. I’m terrified of spiders and there are always a few down there despite how hard Luke works to keep them out.
4. What are you afraid of most in life?
Being alone and unloved.
5. What do you want out of life?
To be a good wife to Luke, a good mother to our children, and a good friend.
6. What is the most important thing to you?
Family. There is nothing more important than our loved ones.
7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?
Reading is one thing I wish I had more time to do. Luke’s family had quite a collection of books in the library before he and I wed. I’ve enjoyed reading everything from Mark Twain’s tales of adventure to the March sisters in Little Women.
8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My past. I let my father rob me of more than a dozen years of my life before Luke came to my rescue.
9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?
I got Luke a puppy for Christmas the first year we were married. Bart is our faithful dog and protector.
10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?
To before my mother died and my father changed. I’d like to see her one last time.
Shanna Hatfield’s giveaway:
I am on a blog tour this week with the Cowboys and Christmas tour to kick off a promotion I’m doing with the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund. Now through Dec. 24, I’ll donate ten percent of the net proceeds from all my book sales to the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund. The JCCF is a non-profit organization that assists rodeo athletes who’ve sustained catastrophic injuries and are unable to work for an extended period. I learned about this great organization when I was researching the first book in the Rodeo Romance series, The Christmas Cowboy.
