If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (May 25th) evening.
Interview with the hero from Wynn in the Willows by Robin Shope:
1. Tell me the most interesting thing about you. I almost feel as though I am under oath here (trying to make a joke). My name is Douglas Reed and the most interesting thing about me is that I gave up a lucrative job as a Chicago attorney to return to my home, which is Willow Island, to be a landscape artist. Willow Island is located in Lake Michigan off the coast of Wisconsin and lives in the mind of the author.
2. What do you do for fun? For fun I sail my schooner to forest preserve islands to check on the wild life.
3. What do you put off doing because you dread it? I put off contact with people. They seem to misunderstand honorable intentions and make up rumors for fun. Give me the wind, water, and my sails.
4. What are you afraid of most in life? I’m afraid of not finding true love. My life is rather simplistic. Don’t think many women are wanting to live in a Light House and live by the sea.
5. What do you want out of life? I want people to love the land and water enough to not poison it. We are to be keepers of what God has given and I think we are doing a bad job of it.
6. What is the most important thing to you? The most important thing to me is being a gate keeper to the land and sea.
7. Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book? I like to read instruction books and about wildlife and plants.
8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I wish I could be more social. I have people skills but I much prefer animals and nature.
9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet? I need to get a pet. Maybe in book 2 of the series. Someone tell me what my pet is and its name. If I pick what you chose, you will get a free book 1 in the series. How about it?
10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why? I would go to the start of when explorers came to the US and started poisoning the waterways with their copper and coal mining.
