I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (November 25th) evening.

Heroine Interview from Taking a Risk on Love by Irene Brand:

1. MARIE BOLDEN tell me the most interesting thing about you.

I’m a rich man’s daughter, and could live a life of leisure, if I wanted to.  I’m not content to do that. I went to college to learn the teaching profession, although women teachers were not popular in the 1890’s

2.  What do you do for fun?

I like to hike, read, and visit my friends.

3.  What do you put off doing because you dread it?

Helping our maid clean the kitchen twice each month, and also having to learn housekeeping skills. My mother insisted that I must learn the value of work.

4.  What are you afraid of most in life?

That I won’t live the kind of life my parents expect me to live.  They’re wonderful parents and I don’t want to disappoint them.

5.  What do you want out of life?

I want to prove that I could be independent if it’s ever necessary for me to do so.  I don’t want to become a spoiled “rich kid.”

6.  What is the most important thing to you?

My Christian faith, and that I will always exemplify the life my parents taught me to live.

7.  Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?

History books, especially of the founding of the New World.  Also, a few novels, such as THE DOLL, written by a Polish author, Alexander Glowacki

8.  If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

For some unknown reason, I’ve always wished that my hair was Auburn.

9.  Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

No pets.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

I’d like to have lived in Palestine during the ministry of Jesus, so I could have witnessed some of the miracles he performed.
