This week I’m hosting Cynthia Ruchti with Cedar Creek Seasons, Winnie Griggs with Handpicked Husband, Sarah Sundin with With Every Letter, and Lily George with The Temporary Betrothal. If you want to enter the drawings for the books, please leave a comment on one of the post during the week with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (September 16th) evening.
Interview with the heroine from Handpicked Husband by Winnie Griggs:
1.Regina Nash, tell me the most interesting thing about you.
First off, please call me Reggie. I suppose the thing most folks find interesting about me is the fact that I’m a photographer.
2. What do you do for fun?
I like to take my family – my nephew Jack and Mabel & Ira Peavy, my friends and household help – out to my cabin in the woods. We can fish and hike and just have fun. It’s also a great place for me to photograph some of my botanical studies.
3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?
I hate doing any kind of housework – I’m more of an outdoors gal.
4. What are you afraid of most in life?
That someone will discover the secret I’ve been holding onto for the past seven years.
5. What do you want out of life?
To adopt my nephew Jack so I can become his mother in reality and not just in action. But my grandfather is making that difficult – he is stipulating I must marry one of these three city-slickers he sent for my inspection or he won’t give his consent to the adoption – and he’s just giving me two weeks to decide! I’ve got to find a way to get out of this and still keep Jack.
6. What is the most important thing to you?
My family.
7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?
I do enjoy reading. I read some fiction and a lot of non-fiction such as botanical journals and whatever I can find on photography.
8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Haven’t given much thought to that. I’m the way God made me and there’s no value in wishing that could change.
9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?
We have a family pet, a dog named Buck. He’s a big, fierce looking animal but he’s not really dangerous unless he feels a member of the family is being threatened – then look out!
10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?
I’d go back to my childhood when my parents and step-sister were still alive so I could tell them all one more time just how much I love them.
