Blurb for Angel of the Cove by Sandra Robbins:

In the first book in the Smoky Mountain Dreams series, acclaimed author Sandra Robbins weaves a tale of love, loss, and God’s faithfulness in every circumstance.

Anna Prentiss has never wanted to be anything but a nurse. Before she can start school in New York, however, her brother sends her to Cades Cove, deep in the Smoky Mountains, to spend a summer apprenticing to the local midwife. Anna is determined to prove herself and then head to the big city.

But nothing could have prepared Anna for the beauty of the Cove, or the community and friendships she finds there. And she certainly wasn’t prepared for Simon Martin, the handsome young minister, or the feelings he arouses in her. Has God’s plan for Anna changed? Or is she just starting to hear Him clearly?

Bio for LoRee Peery:

I am thankful my mother read to me, enabling me to read at age four. Life is as hard as it is pleasurable and I love to read stories about true-to-life characters. The desire to write should never be ignored, I am so glad I kept returning to the blank page. I am blessed to live under God’s redeeming grace, and to experience Nebraska’s sense of place.

Blurb for Found in the Woods by LoRee Peery:

Beth Phillips returns to Platteville, Nebraska in order to begin a new life and to hide from her abusive ex-husband. The secluded cabin offers a chance to stay hidden and to draw closer to God, but Beth quickly discovers she is not alone in the woods. She befriends a curious, displaced wolf, but instead of fearing the animal Beth finds comfort in his company. When field biologist, Aiden Holt, follows up on reported wolf sightings, he finds the animal and Beth Phillips. With emotional baggage of his own, Aiden usually prefers animals to people, but Beth’s passion to keep the wolf draws Aiden in. Experience tells him the wolf needs relocation. His heart tells him he needs Beth Phillips. He camps nearby to capture the wolf, but can he capture Beth’s heart, too? Two souls, each lost in their own way, are brought together by one of God’s beautiful creations. Will the Lord’s path to their destiny be found in the woods?

  1. A wonderful collection of books again this week. THE DIAMOND SECRET looks very exciting – pirate.

    • Thank you, Mary. I enjoyed writing this book!

  2. Great selection. The Deliverer sounds memorable and compelling.

    • Thanks, Ellie! If/when you have a chance to read it I’d love to hear from you. Blessings!

  3. Please enter me for Found in the Woods, and Angel of the Cove! Thank you for the opportunity to win!! I am not familiar with these two authors as of yet!

  4. I don’t know if I remembered to put my email addy for above comment, but if I hadn’t it probably wouldn’t have gone through. Anyway just in case, I put it in the appropriate box. Thanks!

  5. Another wonderful selection, Margaret. It looks like a great week.

  6. another wonderful selection of novels, margaret 🙂

  7. I appreciate the work you do to give readers suggestions for good books. All your selections are awesome but the one that resonates with me is Found in the Woods. I grew up in a home filled with abuse and would have loved my mom to escape to the woods. Instead she stayed and used me to shield her from abuse. The story has a lot of elements of healing in it. Hoping your day is blessed.

  8. These sound good.

  9. I would love to win a copy of The Deliverer. Kathi’s books pack a powerful message and stay with me for weeks after I read her books!

I would also like to be in the running for Angel of the Cove by Sandra for the simply reasons that it sounds like a great read and I haven’t read anything by Sandra.

Thanks for the chance to win some great books!
