The drawings end Sunday (April 29th) evening.

Interview with the heroine from The Chase by Di Ann Mills:

1. Kariss Walker, tell me the most interesting thing about you. I’d say my dogged attitude about research. I want my readers to put themselves into the shoes of my characters, and that means my facts have to be accurate. However, sometimes my determination gets me into trouble.

2. What do you do for fun? Spend time with my brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and of course my parents. We love to tease and have a good time. I enjoy simple times with family and friends. Sometimes people invite me to their parties because of who I am. I hate that. I want to be liked for me.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it? Laundry. Sorry, but I hate it. I mean it’s not too hard to throw clothes into the washer, but then I forget  to dry them  or forget they are dry. I’m not wired domestically. Number two on the dread list is cooking.

4. What are you afraid of most in life? Failing. I’m driven in whatever I do, as though the whole world would collapse if I didn’t make the grade. Weird, but true. My parents claim it’s because I don’t have a relationship with God, but He and I aren’t on speaking terms.

5. What do you want out of life? A home and family one day. I love kids. Can’t wait to be called “mom.”

6. What is the most important thing to you? The relationship with my family.

7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read? Suspense. I love Harlan Coben, Catherine Coulter, Lee Childs. A bit of romance is nice with it too.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Probably my driven nature. It’s like I run with blinders.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet? No pets. I’d like a border collie, but I don’t have the room for a dog to run and play at my condo.

 10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?  Revolutionary War. Love that period. Possibly do a little spying for the patriots. A woman spy was rare, and I’d like to be a part of our country’s history.
