Last week I went to Italy and got to see some places that I’ve read about in history books. I went to Sicily, Capri/Pompeii, Rome, Tuscany/Pisa, and Monaco/French Rivera. There were some highlights of the trip: seeing an erupting volcano, seeing the Colosseum, St. Peter’s at the Vatican, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Pompeii.
Some of the pictures I have here are of me overlooking a bay on Capri Island (a beautiful place), a gorgeous wall painting on a place of business like a cafeteria in Pompeii, a dog mosaic in the floor at Pompeii and a picture on the wall with graffiti (yes, people do deface a site that is nearly 2000 years old). Why do people do that?
I had a great time, but it was exhausting. I was constantly on the go. I wanted to see it all. I’m glad I’m home now. I can get back to a normal routine.
