Congratulations. The winners are Carole for Daniel’s Den by Brandt Dodson and Martha for Mommy’s Hometown Hero by Merrillee Whren.

I am hosting Terry Burns this week and his book is Beyond the Smoke. If you want to be entered in the drawing, please leave a comment with your email address or email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawing ends Sunday evening.

Terry Burns’s bio:

Terry writes inspirational fiction and is an agent with Hartline Literary
http://www.hartlineliterary.com. He was one of ten agents nominated by the
American Christian Fiction Writers as Agent of the Year. As a writer he has
a Young Adult entitled Beyond the Smoke That came out from BJU Press January
2009, a historical fiction entitled A Promise Kept coming out later in the
year from Mountainview Press, and a series that began with Mysterious Ways
from River Oak Publishing ( the series bears that name). The second,
Brothers Keeper came out Feb 1, 2006 and Shepherd’s Son came out January 1,
2007. That gives him 26 books in print counting the NF and short story
collections. Other fiction includes Trails of the Dime Novel, a trade
paperback from Echelon Press and in audio from JBS Publishing. He has
published over 200 articles and short stories. A popular speaker at
workshops across the country, his available works as well as a daily blog
can be found at www.terryburns.net. As an agent Terry says “I’m looking for
a good book, well written, aimed at a market that looks promising, and where
I feel I have the contacts appropriate to be able to sell the book in that
market.”

Back cover blurb (there is a book trailer on it at my website) :

They were all dead.
No one alive in the whole wagon train.
He was alone.
When Bryan Wheeler’s parents are killed by Comanche raiders, he wonders how
he will survive without them. With a few supplies, two guns, and his
mother’s Bible, he sets out to create a new life for himself in the western
wilderness. Beyond the Smoke is the story of one young man’s adventures in
the Wild West.

  2. I’m always looking for new male authors to read!

  3. Thanks for the great interview Margaret and Terry. I’m sure many will agree that growing up in the fifties and sixties certainly grounded us in the lure of the old west. I myself wanted to be a cowgirl when I grew up. I had at least two pair of pistols to pack!

I would love to be in the drawing for this book, also. The book sounds almost as interesting as Terry’s personal story!

  4. Sounds interesting. I love western type books. Please include me in the drawing.

  5. I love the sound of this book.

Please enter me in the drawing.

    Thank you,

  6. I've always wanted to read & review one of Terry's westerns. The genre is as strong as speculative fiction for tales of good & evil, but fit into Christain book-store fiction shelves like veggie plates on a steak house menu.

Terry and I are in a few groups, and the man is a compassionate gentleman who's not afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve.

    Faith,
