Robin Shope – Biography

Married for thirty-one years, my husband and I live near Dallas, Texas. Rick and I have two grown children. I have five teaching certificates and am the Special Education Coordinator at The Juvenile Justice Alternative Education School for my county. I work with teens.

To date, my literary works include approximately two hundred articles in magazines such as: Live, Lookout, Mennonite, Christian Reader, Decision, Breakthrough and Christianity Today. Other short stories appear in the books: A Match Made in Heaven, Stories from the Heart, The Evolving Woman, and in the New York Times bestseller, In The Arms of Angels by Joan Wester-Anderson. Ann Spangler also used one of my stories in her book, Help! I can’t stop Laughing. Another two-dozen stories have been published in the Chicken Soup books. One story, Mom’s Last Laugh, was re-enacted for a PAX-TV program: It’s a Miracle. I co-authored a thriller, The Chase, for Revell. My second book, The Replacement, was released in June 2006. The Candidate was released July, 2007.

The Christmas Edition is a contemporary romance and my fourth book but first in a series , The Turtle Creek Edition. The Valentine Edition will be a late January 2009 release and the second in the series.

I should receive the release date of Wildcard, my new mystery, any day. It should be out spring 2009.

Sandra Moore’s bio:

S. (Sandra) Dionne Moore is Tuesday columnist for Novel Journey and author of the LaTisha Barnhart Mystery series for Barbour Publishing’s Hearstong Presents: Mysteries! book club.

  1. And I am giving away 1 book BUT if I get more than 15 comments, I will give away another one. How is that for incentive to leave a comment? Come on! I would love to hear from you!

  3. I am going to be reviewing Robin’s book next month as part of a FIRST book tour. I’m very excited about it.

I’m not a big romance reader but I’m finding that there are a few authors who might convert me. Robin is on that list 🙂

  4. I have read Robin’s three books,
The Chase, The Replacement and The Canadate. I also have read Mom’s Last Laugh. I have enjoyed all of these because they are good wholesome reading. I love a good mystery and I was always surprised by the outcome of each. I look forward to reading more of Robin’s works.

  5. Hi Abi, Mari and Terri,
thank you so much for your kind words. They mean so much. I would count it as both an honor and personal joy to become one of your favorite authors.
    God Bless, Robin

  6. How kind of Robin to offer a second book giveaway according to the number of comments! Either book would be fine with me. Please enter me in your book drawings. It is appreciated.
    Thanks, Cindi

  7. Robin’s biography–impressive. You did it like the conferences say. You wrote articles and stories first. Congratulations on reaching you writing goals and continuing to write.
