I have a fever–cabin fever, that is. I’ve been trapped in my home for a week because of the ice storm. I went out on Wednesday to the grocery store to stock up for the next storm moving through this weekend. My husband took me because he has a truck which can get around in this kind of weather whereas my car can’t. They finally plowed the main street out here and caused a small hill you have to go over at the entrance into our subdivision. My car sits too low to make it. Yesterday it got above freezing and melting some of the ice but not on my street or even in my yard. If I had a pair of skates, I could go skating on my lawn.
Anyway the point of this blog is to see if anyone has good suggestions when you are stuck in the house because of the weather. What do you do? I’ve been playing tons of computer games until I’m cross-eyed. I’ve written a lot which is a good thing, but I can’t do that all day. Don’t get me wrong, I love being home. I think it’s the fact I can’t jump into my car and run to the store or go see a friend at a moment’s notice. I’m hoping with this snow coming in (I’m praying no more ice) it will be easier to plow and get rid of then the ice and I’ll be back in school next week.
Now for the deal. I just received my March Love Inspired Suspense author copies of So Dark the Night. I would like to send out some free copies to the first ten people who let me know they want to read it and review it on their blog or on Barnes and Noble or Amazon. You can read the first chapter excerpt on my web site (link on the blog side bar). I will need your address. Email me at Mdaley50@aol.com.
