Are you seeing the disappearance of Thanksgiving like I am? Suddenly we are going from Halloween to Christmas. Thanksgiving is being forgotten. If you go out to the store, all you see after Halloween is Christmas items and decorations. Where Christmas lights went up after Thanksgiving, now they are going up before.
I love Thanksgiving and what it stands for. It is a time for us to pause and be thankful for all that we have. I like going around the table at Thanksgiving and asking everyone what they are most thankful for during the past year. I love the idea of sharing a family meal with none of the present and hectic pace Christmas can be.
AMEN!
Amen, Amen! Have to work to get the children to see it as more than a day off from school with a big meal. I haven’t seen any Thanksgiving decorations. Anywhere.
I will add a Amen to that to!
Hope you have a Blessing of a Thanksgiving !

Your post about Thanksgiving is so true. We felt this happening in our own family. We stopped celebrating Halloween a few years ago and it has helped us so that we can go ahead and decorate for autumn and Thanksgiving in October. That way by Thanksgiving I feel ready to decorate for Christmas. By skipping Halloween we get four weeks of decorations in for Thanksgiving and at least the same amount for Christmas. My daughter is nine and says she doesn’t miss Halloween.
