I’m leaving tomorrow to go to the ACFW conference until Sunday. I’m really looking forward to seeing writer friends from around the country and networking with industry professionals. I will blog about the writing conference when I come home next week.
This morning I was listening to my favorite radio show as I got ready for school. They were having a contest connected with the show Deal or No Deal which I saw last night as I was grading papers. I decided on the spur of the moment to try calling the station. I’ve done this before and never get through. The line is always busy. But not this time. In fact, when the DJ answered, I thought I had heard wrong and there wasn’t a contest going on because he had answered on the second ring. There was a contest, and I answered the question correctly. I won the cutest little briefcase (the size of a business card holder) and $25 VISA debit card. I never win anything so this was a big surprise.
Yesterday I was interview for the Tulsa World. I’m not sure when the article will be out, but it is about the fact that I’ve sold my 50th book last month. The reporter took a picture of me and Tidings of Joy, my Love Inspired book coming out in October.

Yay on the radio win. As a new writer who is still deciding whether or not to go the inspy route, I’m very glad to have found you. It’s good to see you can be sweet AND successful. Fifty books sold. Awesome.
Congrats on winning on the radio. sorry that I have not been around to see you. It has been so long since I talked to you. I am still in college and only have one and half semesters to go until I enter the RN program. I am still holding the 4.0 GPA which is a miracle of its own. I can not wait to take a breather from books and start reading the rest of Sweet Water. Hope all is well and I will try and keep in touch. God Bless you and congrats on the new grandchildren. Love Alley.. xoxoxo
Rene, glad you could stop by.
Babe King, thanks for posting on my blog. I love writing inspirational stories.
Alley, you go, girl friend. That is great–a 4 point. I’m so happy for you. Please don’t be a stranger.
