Something has to give

Okay, something has to give in my busy schedule and I vote exercising as what has to give. I know all the reasons why exercising is great for you, but how do you fit it in when you are so busy and you don’t want to exercise? If anyone has a good suggestion, I want to hear it. I am looking out the window right now and the day is perfect to go for a walk. But if I do, my allergies will start acting up and worst I won’t get to do this blog. By now you probably get the picture. I’m great at coming up with reasons not to exercise. I want someone to come up with a painless way to exercise. You could make a mint if you do.

  1. LOL! I”m totally with you on the exercising being the thing that “gives.” Actually, I’ve been pretty good lately–I’ve been doing this 20-minute exercise program that I videotape and watch when I get up (because there is no way I’m getting up at 6 to exercise), called “Denise Austin’s Fit and Lite.” I like it a lot and it’s only about 20 minutes if you fast forward through the commercials.

  2. Giving you a standing ovation on this revelation!!!!! (sp??) I HATE exercise!!! Hate, hate, hate it!!!

My *tight* jeans fit great while we were on vacation. But there, you know, you walk on the beach, sight see, snorkle, and it’s all fun. Here, you just go around and around the stupid track. Ugh.

    Hugs to you, sweetie!!!

    Laura 😉

P.S. Yaaaaay again on your Holt nod!!!!

  3. Hey! I do Denise Austin too. I used her shows years ago when I had my second kid and someone convinced me that I would get fat after having two kids.

I think what I need is a painless way to exercise, teehee. I like to work out but finding the time is unreal.

Hugs to you anyway. Hmmmm, maybe I should do that instead of writing? 😀

  4. Count me among the perennial haters of exercise, Margaret! Sweat is a 4-letter word, in my offbeat dictionary. What sometimes works for me is getting on my treadmill. I find the time goes much faster (and more mindlessly) if I read while I’m walking. I do have to hold onto the handrail so I don’t lose my balance. 🙂 (BTW, it’s only a month or so until our move to a community near your fair city. I can hardly wait!)

  5. I don’t mind exercizing if I have the time and an empty house. If I put on a video, one of my four kids finds a way to get in my way and getting up early is out of the question since I’d need a nap in the afternoon. Usually I run to the gym for 20 minutes in between dropping and picking kids up and even then I have to multi task and read on the treadmill or elliptical machine. One thing that has also helped make exercise more fun is getting books on tape. Why not take a walk around the block while listening to good book! Also, if you had an accountability exercise partner that would help.

Good luck and if you have any great brainstorms on fitting exercise in, let me know!
