RWA and Reno

I just returned from RWA national conference in Reno where over two thousand romance writers met and discussed our craft. I had a great time meeting new people and seeing friends I often only get to see once a year at the national conference. I met with my editor and agent. I found out my first Love Inspired Suspense (Hearts on the Line) out next June will be an audible book, too. That is exciting!! People can listen to it on tape on an iPod or an MP3 player.

Myself and two friends drove around Lake Tahoe on Tuesday. What a beautiful lake! But the following day I went with a friend to Lake Pyramid (the largest lake in Nevada) and I believe it is prettier than Lake Tahoe and not many people were there. The five different shades of blue were awe inspiring. We also visited Virginia City. Some of the buildings are over a hundred years old and I could almost picture myself in the Old West.

It seems like the inspirational romance market is doing well and expanding. We found out that the largest group of readers for the Love Inspired are young people. I love that young people are reading good, clean books.
