One week till school starts

I can’t believe how the summer has flown by! There is one more week and I will have to go back to school. I’M NOT READY! I still have so much to do and not enough time to do it. I seem to say that a lot lately. When am I going to learn to say no? Probably never. I need to focus on all that I’ve accomplished this summer and forget the things I haven’t had time to get to. That isn’t always easy to do. Anyone have suggestions to help me?

This year at school I will be teaching 11th grader English. I’m looking forward to working with the students. I had a few last year in 10th grade English and really enjoyed working with them. I can’t wait to see how they did this summer and see if they grew up some. Often you see that between the 10th and 11th grades. One of the neat things is watching a student grow up from when he enters high school to when he graduates. I love seeing them walk across the stage at graduation, ready to embark on a new phase of their life.

  1. Margaret,
Wish there was a magic button I could press to help.. when I learn to say No as well, I’ll tell you..lol.. I start school in a week to. Seems as if the summer really flew by. My kids are so ready to go back . I bet your students cant wait to see you again.. Amazing how we get to watch them grow up and become such great people. The reason why I have been off for a few is my 6 yr old son has the chicken pox and boy has he gotten them good..lol.. one good thing is they will be gone before school starts..Just think the both of us will be in school the same time, and I havnt gotten done anything that I wanted , seems as if there isnt enough time in a day to make it all happen.. well hang in there and praying that we both learn to say no..lol hugs Alley

  2. Alley, if I discover the secret, I’ll past it along. Hugs on the chicken pox. Never fun but at least it will be over soon. Good luck with school.
