This is a day when we take a few minutes to pray and think of our loved ones who have passed away. I lost my father when I was 12, but I still think about him and what it would have been like if he was alive. I was lucky to have my mother for many years after that, but she died several years ago and left an empty place in my heart. Both of my parents are with Jesus now, pain free and happy. But I still miss them, even knowing that.
Also I would like to take a few minutes to pray for our men and women in the armed forces, especially the ones in the Middle East. May God protect you all and bring you home safe to your loved ones.
