Good news

I just found out that A Family for Tory and Gold in the Fire are finalists in the Golden Quill Contest in the inspirational category. I’m thrilled especially since I’m in such good company with Deborah Raney, Gayle Roper and Denise Hunter.

There are only three more weeks of school left! The best part is that state mandated testing is over for another year. It took 5 days out of the school year to give these tests and I’m not totally convinced it’s a good use of our time teaching. So many students don’t take tests well but are good students who work hard to keep their grades up. It will be nice in a few weeks to be able to write full time for several months. This school year has flown by.

  1. Congratulations, Margaret! Your books are finalling all over the place these past few weeks. 🙂

My other teacher friends are also counting down the days until summer break. Some of them count by hours.

  2. Way to go Margaret!

  3. WooHoo Margaret!!

  4. Thanks, Heather, Janice and Camy. I hadn’t thought of counting the hours till the end of school. Somehow 16 days sounds better than hundreds of hours.

  5. Congratulations, Margaret! I’m honored to be on the list with YOU! Your books are taking the contest world by storm this year! And it’s not just one title…must be the WRITER, not just the book. I’m thrilled for you.
