Writing tip

The writing business is subjective. One editor may not like your writing while another may. So don’t give up on a project because of one rejection. If you get feedback from an editor (which is really a good thing because so often an editor sends a form letter) or even a critique partner, you have to decide if you want to take the advice. If you get the same advice from several different people, I would definitely consider making some changes. It’s hard to step back from our own work and take an objective look at it. But ultimately it is your book–no one else’s.
