Have you set writing goals for yourself? January is the time we make resolutions so also start making them in your writing as well if you haven’t done so already. Set a long term goal then several short term ones to reach that long term goal. It can be as simple as writing something every day, even if that is only a sentence or two. I find when I write most every day I can keep myself grounded in my story and don’t lose time having to go back and reacquaint myself with my characters every time I sit down to write the story. There are days I only write a page but that’s okay. Find out what works for you then set a goal and work toward it. Discipline is important in writing if you want to be a productive writer who consistently finishes books.
