Interview with the heroine from Small-Town Bachelor by Jill Kemerer:

1.  Claire Sheffield, tell me the most interesting thing about you.

I love animals. In fact, I’m caring for young otter twins until their new home is ready at the zoo later this summer. Their mother was injured and is living at a wild animal rescue, and she’s doing great. Otters are curious, lively and a lot of fun. I’ll miss them!

2.  What do you do for fun?

Well, I live in a little cottage on Lake Endwell, Michigan, so I spend a lot of time with my family. We have cookouts, take boat rides and enjoy Friday night fish fry at my Uncle Joe’s restaurant.

3.  What do you put off doing because you dread it?

Cleaning the bathroom.

4.  What are you afraid of most in life?

I’m afraid of losing any of my loved ones. They mean everything to me.

5.  What do you want out of life?

I’ve always wanted to work at the zoo. I volunteered there for years, and now a position is opening up. I’d also love to have a husband and family of my own, but I don’t really see that happening.

6.  What is the most important thing to you?

My faith and my family. And those cute little otters.

7.  Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?

Sometimes. I’m not a big reader, but I like paperback romance novels and magazines.

8.  If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I’d like to be more forgiving. Forgiveness is hard.

9.  Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

I consider the otters my pets, even though I’m fostering them. I plan on having a dog and some turtles in my backyard, eventually.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

I’d go back to when I was a little girl and my mom was still alive. I’d do anything to tell her how much I love her and hug her just one more time.
