HeartcoverInterview with the heroine from Heart of a Solider by Belle Calhoune:

1. Holly Lynch, tell me the most interesting thing about you.

I am a paraplegic and I’m learning to ride a horse all over again. I used to be an award winning rider and I’m so happy to be back in the saddle again.

2. What do you do for fun?

I love to ride horses at the family ranch, Horseshoe Bend Ranch.   I also love to spend time with my three best friends, the Roses.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?

I need to confront my mother about a huge secret she kept from me and I haven’t been able to do it yet.

I hate the very idea of confronting her, but I know it’s something I have to do.

4. What are you afraid of most in life?

I’m most afraid of not being able to live my life the way I want to live it. Before the accident I was free to do whatever I wanted to do. Now, because of my physical limitations, there are certain things that are beyond my reach. But each and every day I want to try to push past my fears and achieve things that may seem impossible.

5. What do you want out of life?

I want to find a man who will love me as I am. I also want to be an inspiration to others who are facing challenges in their lives.

6. What is the most important thing to you?

My family. Mom, Dad, my brother, Tate. My best friends, the Roses. And my soldier pen pal, Dylan. Horseshoe Bend Ranch, the ranch my family owns, is also very important to me. Being at the ranch makes me feel free.

7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?

I love to read. Romance novels set in the West are my favorites. Happy endings are a must.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I would believe more in myself. I always think that finding a soul mate will be difficult due to my being a paraplegic.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

Since my family breeds horses, all the horses at Horseshoe Bend ranch are my pets. And I also have a chocolate lab named Bingo.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

I would go back in time to the night of the accident with the Roses and change my behavior so that the accident never would have happened.
