This week I’m hosting Lyn Cote with Where Honor Began (ebook-prequel to Honor) and  Rhonda Gibson with A Pony Express Christmas (US only). If you want to enter the drawings for the books, please leave a comment on your post with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (Dec. 14th) evening.

WhereHonorBegan-1Interview with the heroine from Where Honor Began by Lyn Cote:

1. Honor, tell me the most interesting thing about you.

I believe that men and women are equal in intelligence and in the eyes of God if not man. Many scoff but I cannot believe God created women less intelligent than men.

2. What do you do for fun?

I enjoy riding around our land when the tobacco fields are just sprouting, small green shoots in dark earth.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?

I hesitate to reply when my grandfather is using me in his conflict with my father. I wish I knew what festers between them. It’s dreadful to be caught between the two I love most.

4. What are you afraid of most in life?

Of disappointing my father and God, my heavenly father.

5. What do you want out of life?

I want what I cannot have. As one opposed to slavery and a Quaker, I do not fit into Maryland society. I hoped for love with Alec Martin but how can I marry a man who owns slaves?

6. What is the most important thing to you?

My integrity and my faith.

7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?

I love to read poetry especially the Scottish poet Robert Burns.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Nothing. I accept myself as God created me.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

I don’t know if I’d call my mare a pet, but she is very special to me.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

I would not want to live in any earlier time. I am content to live in the new American republic.
