Congratulations to bn100 for winning Missy Tippens’ The Guy Next Door, to Melanie for winning Christine Lindsay’s Veiled at Midnight, and to Shelia for winning Sarah Sundin’s I’ll Be Home for Christmas.

This week I’m hosting  Susan Sleeman with Special Ops Christmas (US only) and Ava Pennington with Daily Reflections on the Names of God: A Devotional (US only). If you want to enter the drawings for the books, please leave a comment on your post with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (Oct. 19th) evening.

This week will be the Christian Fiction Fall Scavenger Hunt. I will be Stop #28. It will start at noon (mountain time) Friday, Oct. 17th. I will be having a bonus contest on my blog so check back on Oct. 17th. There are 33 Christian fiction authors participating with a grand prize. ONE entry per person. If we find you’ve registered under separate IDs, you’ll be disqualified. Please, be HONEST. If you’re an international winner, your prize will be the equivalent of what we’re offering in the USA in terms of USD$$, based on that day’s exchange rate, and what we can figure out in terms of online options (ex. Apple in Australia, etc.). If the Kindle Fire HDX is more expensive in your country than it is in the USA ($269 USD), we shall give you an Amazon gift card for the equivalent of the USD value. International runners-up winners will receive most of their books via Book Depository, and therefore, they cannot be autographed—sorry.

Daily Reflections on the Names of God - lo-resBio for Ava Pennington:

Ava Pennington is thoroughly enjoying her second career as an author, teacher, and speaker.

Originally from New York City, she left after a 20-year corporate career as a Human Resources executive. But don’t call her retired! Now, in addition to writing and speaking, she teaches a Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) class of 180+ women from September through May each year.

Her newest book, Daily Reflections on the Names of God: A Devotional, is published by Revell Books and is endorsed by Kay Arthur, founder of Precepts Ministries International.

Ava has written for national Christian magazines, as well as for more than 25 anthologies, including 19 Chicken Soup for the Soul books.

When she’s not writing and teaching, Ava loves to read, but she hasn’t had much time to read for the past several months. She and her husband have been adjusting to having 2 Boxer puppies in their home. Duke & Daisy are now 10 months old. The energetic puppies have caused Ava & Russ to feel their age and seek help, so now they’re attending weekly Puppy Obedience classes – and learning more than the puppies!

Blurb for Daily Reflections on the Names of God: A Devotional by Ava Pennington:

Perfect. Almighty. The One Who Sees. Jealous. Forgiver.

Every name of God revealed in the Bible shows us something about His character and His ways. As the facets of a diamond combine to reflect its brilliance, the names and attributes of God combine to reveal the transcendence of His nature and the glory of His ways. Daily Reflections on the Names of God offers readers a wonderful opportunity to spend time each day getting to know God more intimately. At the end of a year, they’ll be able to say they know Him better that they did a year ago.

This insightful guide to the names of God provides 366 life-changing, personal devotions for new Christians and longtime believers. As readers explore 122 names and attributes of God from three perspectives, they will discover something special about who God is, who they are, and how they relate to others.

Includes a Scripture index and name index for easy navigation to favorite verses…and endorsed by Kay Arthur, founder, Precepts Ministries, International.
