1. Tell me the most interesting thing about you.

Philippa “Pippa” Gallagher. The most interesting thing about me is that despite the fact I have the exterior of a corporate party planner, which was my occupation before I came to Vine Beach to run Granny’s art gallery and charities, I am a skateboarder. I can do an Ollie on a half-pipe better than any fourteen-year-old at the skate park.

2. What do you do for fun? Other than skateboarding?

I love to read. I’m having a nook built into my new loft above Granny’s gallery for that purpose. And I love the beach, but then it is practically outside my door.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?

Closing the skating ministry I run. I know it cannot last forever without funding and with the opposition it is facing from certain citizens of Vine Beach, including the man I have fallen in love with, but I had hoped there was a way to keep it going. Maybe there is.

4. What are you afraid of most in life?

To follow God where He leads. Second would be to master that one skateboarding trick that I haven’t been able to land yet.

5. What do you want out of life?

A real home and a family. Isn’t that funny? Me who has been so independent, probably because my missionary parents had to send me back to Texas to Granny for schooling, wants a home and a family? But I do, deep down anyway.

6. What is the most important thing to you?

To love the people God puts in my life and to bring the good news of the gospel to those who desperately need to hear it.

7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?

I love reading! From the classics I devoured off Granny’s bookshelves to fabulous fiction that’s coming out now, I can’t get enough. I also have a dog-eared Bible that my mama gave me before I left Indonesia and the mission field that I will never part with. I read it often.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

There are so many things physically that would be nice to tweak, but honestly I think I need to change my habit of being just a wee bit stubborn. I’m working on it, I promise. But it’s a process.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

No, I don’t. Maybe someday when I have that house and family.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

Oh, that’s a hard one. I think I’d like to go back to that day in high school the first time my skateboard fell out of my locker and hit a certain handsome someone on the head. Instead of stuffing the board back in and running away without a word, I’d hope I could say something like this: “Hey Logan, sorry about that. But don’t worry, in about ten years we’re going to fall in love.” Or maybe not!
