The drawings end Sunday (Mar. 23rd) evening.

RichInterview with the heroine from The Guardian’s Promise by Christina Rich:

1.  Sh’mira, tell me the most interesting thing about you. I would like to say the most interesting thing about me is that I am one of only two children born to my parents, both of us being girls. However, I am quite certain that if you asked anyone else they would tell you I am a cripple. Not that that is interesting, but it does seem to be all anyone can speak of whenever my name is mentioned.

2.  What do you do for fun? I love wondering through the olive groves when the flowers are in bloom. I also enjoy playing the lyre. Something about the music soothes me.

3.  What do you put off doing because you dread it? Oh, that is easy, marriage.

4.  What are you afraid of most in life? I am afraid of being married to a man who cannot love me because of my disability.

5.  What do you want out of life? To be loved.

6.  What is the most important thing to you? To be loved for me and not for my father’s land.

7.  Do you read? No, I do not read. However, I do take great pleasure when Ari, one of my father’s servants, recites psalms handed down through the ages, some even written by King David.

8.  If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I wish my hand would not have been left crippled from when I was attacked by a wild dog.

9.  Do you have a pet? No, my father owns sheep but we do not have names for them. If so, what is it and why that pet?

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why? I would go back to a time when my people could worship Adonai in the open without fear of death.
