1. Lydia, tell me the most interesting thing about you.

I like to think that I’m pretty self-sufficient. My mother and I raise miniature horses, rabbits and sheep on our very own little farm in Lancaster, PA.

2. What do you do for fun?

I love to check on my animals and run the fields of my farm barefoot.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?

I hate talking to my mother about marriage and courting. She thinks I’m turning into an old spinster!

4. What are you afraid of most in life?

Losing my farm. Facing my father. Seeing Joseph Yoder again.

5. What do you want out of life?

Freedom. I want to always feel the freedom of God’s love.

6. What is the most important thing to you?

Family. The most important thing after doing God’s will is keeping the family together.

7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?

I love to read! Around here, we read our Amish newsletter, The Budget. Of course, we read the Bible. And, I sometimes read historical novels and memoires.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I would try to get off the farm more often just to have fun. My mom thinks I don’t know how to have fun, but that’s not it. I just don’t have a lot of time. So I suppose what I would really like to change is that I would have more time 😉

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

Of course, I live on a farm, so I have lots of pets! My pony, Candy, is my favorite. I love to pet her thick mane and feed her carrots.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

Well, being Amish, I don’t really think much about stuff like that. Never actually. But since you brought it up, I think I’m pretty happy right where I am. I mean this is where I’m supposed to be, right? So, I guess I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.
