Interview with the heroine from Dangerous Passage by Lisa Harris:

1.  Avery, tell me the most interesting thing about you.

I’m a third generation cop, Southern bred, and proud of it!

2.  What do you do for fun?

When I have free time, I’m definitely hanging out with my daughter. Of course lately, there has been a new someone new in my life to divide my time with. . .

  3.  What do you put off doing because you dread it?

Housekeeping. Yes, it gets done, but usually in anticipation of mama coming over for a visit.

4.  What are you afraid of most in life?

Losing someone I love again. I’m learning that in many ways life is a battle, but it’s not one I can fight on my own. I’m trying to remember that God’s the one who arms me with strength. Which is why I’ve had to come to realize my own weaknesses and fears and rely on Him only!

5.  What do you want out of life?

Simply stated, I want to be the best mother, sister, friend, and daughter I can be. Beyond that I want to be a part of the solution of bringing justice in this world.

6.  What is the most important thing to you?

Definitely family.

 7.  Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?

To be honest, I don’t remember the last time I read something other than a police report. J When I unwind, I typically head for the gym or even better, rock climbing with my daughter Tess.

8.  If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?To worry less. I have a tendency to try and fix everything, but sometimes, all you can really do is step back and let God work.

9.  Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

Because Tess loves animals, we tend to have somewhat of a zoo. Right now we have a cat named Tiger, a mouse named Mr. Whiskers who has a tendency to escape his cage, and a hamster.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

Hmmm. . .The first thing that popped into my mind was the Wild West, to be a sheriff of some frontier town. I guess I’m an adrenaline junkie at heart, combined with a desire to fight with the good guys!
