Interview with the heroine from A Texas Brides Collection, Darlene Franklin’s story:
1. Rosie, tell me the most interesting thing about you.
I can tell you the most talked about thing people say about me. I’m a former thief, and I done jail time.
2. What do you do for fun?
I love to read the Bible. There are so many exciting stories!
3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?
Figuring my accounts. I’m afraid I’ll be tempted into old habits if we don’t have enough money.
4. What are you afraid of most in life?
Falling back into my old habits and disappointing God.
5. What do you want out of life?
I want to help provide for people around me who are in need.
6. What is the most important thing to you?
Most important thing is to be a godly woman, but I know I have a long ways to go.
7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?
I don’t reach much except the Bible.
8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wish I had a better education, but Owen tells me I can learn a lot on my own.
9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?
I don’t have a pet, although I do throw scraps to the dog who hangs around the boarding house where I live.
10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?
I would go back to the night of my last robbery.
