I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (March 3rd) evening.

Stitched with Love coverInterview with the hero from Spider Web Rose in Stitched with Love by Vickie McDonough:

1. Josh Stafford, tell me the most interesting thing about you. I like to joke and make people laugh. Ranchers work long and hard, and they need a reason to laugh at times. So I’ve taken it upon myself to be the person to add some humor to lives of my family members and our ranch hands.

2.  What do you do for fun? I have two older brothers, and it’s fun to pull a prank on them every once in a while. And then there was the time my little sister Lou found some baby skunks, and I tricked her into petting them. Shooeee! She stank for two weeks.

3.  What do you put off doing because you dread it? Telling my brothers about my dream. They’d probably just laugh it off, if I told them.

4.  What are you afraid of most in life? Failure.

5.  What do you want out of life? I want to find a good woman to marry and have the kind of marriage my parents and grandparents enjoyed.

6.  What is the most important thing to you? Family and Faith and our ranch.

7.  Do you read books? Not very often. There’s too much work to be done on a ranch to read much.  If so, what is your favorite type of book? I like books that take you on an adventure, like that new one—Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.

8.  If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I wouldn’t be the youngest brother. My two older brothers seem to think I’m still a kid and that I’ll never grow up. Why, even my younger sister gets more respect than I do.

9.  Do you have a pet? We have a couple of dogs at the ranch, a sheep dog named Shane—don’t ask me why there’s a sheep dog on a cattle ranch. We also have an ugly stray that adopted us, and she’s about to have pups. My favorite animal, though, is my horse, Sultan. Me and him have ridden a lot of miles together.

If so, what is it and why that pet? The mama dog is Belle.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why? I’d go back to the day Rachel’s (that’s my gal) pa was killed and protect him. Of course, if her pa hadn’t of died, I might never have met her. And talk about pulling a prank. You should read about the one she pulled on me.
