This week I’m hosting  Mary Moore with Beauty in Disguise, Georgiana Daniels with A Daughter’s Redemption, and Margaret Daley with Countdown to First Night.  If you want to enter the drawings for the books, please leave a comment on one of the post during the week with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (January 6th) evening.

Interview with the hero from A Daughter’s Redemption by Georgiana Daniels:

1. Tell me the most interesting thing about you.

My name is Caleb Sloane, and I’m a cop with a secret. If I tell, someone could get hurt physically, and if I don’t tell, someone gets hurt emotionally. Have you ever faced a lose-lose situation? That’s my life, at the moment.

2. What do you do for fun?

I hang out at the youth center with teens. Not to brag, but I’m the reigning air-hockey champ. I also run, but mostly to get my mind off my troubles.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?

Put off a task? I never do that—not when it’s within my power to take charge. This time is different and I must put off revealing who I am, and it kills me.

4. What are you afraid of most in life?

I’m afraid I really am who people think I am. And once they find out, I’ll lose my career—the job I love that makes me whole.

5. What do you want out of life?

Simple—I want a home and family, and the freedom to do the job I love. If Robyn Warner can love me, then life would be good.

6. What is the most important thing to you?

Faith—because this time it’s the only thing I have. Life can be a letdown, but faith will prove God had a plan all along.

7.  Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book?

Anything but crime dramas or anything with a pink cover. Truth be told—I prefer a little action and doing my job. I like running and working with my hands, anything to keep me busy.

8.  If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

There are days when I think, “What wouldn’t I change?” Then I remember God created me the way I am for a reason, and He’s doing some refining along the way. The days I forget that, I have a friend named Phil who’s more than happy to give me a not-so-gentle reminder.

9.  Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

No pets. I couldn’t even keep a fish alive. But one day, I can see a dog or two running free at home, as long as I’m home with the woman I love. If she’d have me, anything would be possible.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

I’d go back to my teen years and thank the one person who dared to get involved in my life. A youth worker who saw potential in a troubled guy, who saw more than a kid looking for bad things to get into. Since I can’t go back, I work hard to be that same person for others. Every kid matters.

  1. I don’t mind a crime drama or a pink cover myself.

    Caleb does sound interesting.

  2. Thank you for featuring Caleb today, Margaret!

  3. Kudos Georgiana! I’m loving the book.

  4. Hi Georgianna,
So since you have a generous husband and 3 talented daughters does your husband have a hard time with 4 women in the house? In your book Robyn Warner wanted to go back to Pine Hollow. Caleb is going to help her. Sound good, can’t wait to read it. God bless you.
