This week I’m hosting  Kellie Coates Gilbert with Mother of Pearl (giveaway for only U.S. residents), Margaret Daley with A Mom’s New Start, Kathy Harris with The Road to Mercy, and Ronie Kendig with Trinity. If you want to enter the drawings for the books, please leave a comment on one of the post during the week with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (September 9th) evening.

Interview with the hero from A Road to Mercy by Kathy Harris:

1. Josh Harrison, tell me the most interesting thing about you.

I’m a Contemporary Christian singer-songwriter.

2.  What do you do for fun?

I spend time with my beautiful wife, Bethany. I’m blessed to have her. She supports me in my work, even though I’m on the road and away from home a lot.

3.  What do you put off doing because you dread it?

I dislike anything to do with numbers, especially accounting. At this point in my career, I earn a living, but money is tight, so it’s not a lot of fun to look at the books.

4.  What are you afraid of most in life?

I don’t want to disappoint God. I want to be the man He created me to be.

5.  What do you want out of life?

To reach out with my music, to touch people with the Truth. I’ve had one hit record so far in my career, a song I co-wrote with a friend. But there’s much more I want to share.

6.  What is the most important thing to you?

My wife. She’s the only family I have now.

7.  Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book?

I’d rather work with my hands. I love woodworking. It’s something my dad and I did together when I was growing up. And, if I have spare time on the road, or sometimes when I’m at home, I write songs. Music is my passion.

8.  If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I wish I had more insight into why people sometimes let you down.

9.  Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

Bethany and I have a Boston Terrier named Buster. He’s a rambunctious young dog. (They don’t call them “terror-iers” for nothing.) But he keeps Bethany company when I’m away.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

I would love to go back a few years and visit with my parents again. My mom was a woman of great faith. My dad was a minister… but, well, that’s another story.

  1. THE ROAD TO MERCY would take me into the world of music. Something I know very little about.
