The drawings end Sunday (July  1st) evening.

Interview with the heroine from Annie’s Truth by Beth Shriver:

1. Beth Shriver, tell me the most interesting thing about you.

I don’t know if it’s the most interesting thing but I love otters! I fell in love with them when I was in California and again in Alaska. Just watching them frolic and play makes me happy, and jealous. I only wish I could have so much fun riding the waves and eating sushi!

2.  What do you do for fun?

I’m blessed to have a lot of great friends, aunts, and sister to spend time with. I love most anything to do with the arts and humanities. Going to different events and venues in Dallas or Fort-Worth with a girlfriend or two makes for a great outing!

3.  What do you put off doing because you dread it?

I’m not much of a procrastinator as a matter of fact what I dread is being around others who are! If I had to think of something it would be cleaning out the litter box, and you really can’t put that off too long!

4.  What are you afraid of most in life?

Death, but not the way you think. My grandmothers passed away at ages 98 and 96. It doesn’t sit well with me to think I have those longevity genes. They both lived fulfilling, long lives, but that’s just too long for me!

5.  What do you want out of life?

To live a life that is glorifying to God. I believe I do that with my writing, but I want to find other ways of doing that. Ever since I went to Africa I’ve wanted to go back to do missionary work. I hope to make that happen one day.

6.  What is the most important thing to you?

My relationship with Christ. I feel it in my everyday routine when I haven’t been close to Him, and I suffer in every aspect until I become grounded with Him again.

7.  Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?

I love to read but I write more than I read now, and I miss it. I don’t have one specific genre that I like. It’s more what the core of the story is about. I actually like to listen to books more than read. After sitting at a computer most of the day it’s nice to have someone tell you a storyJ

8.  If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Patience, I don’t have enough. God sort of played a trick on me when he led me to write, considering it’s the slowest paced profession I’ve ever experienced.

9.  Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

Ash, Chloe and Abi. Two cats and a dog. I love cats, they’re low maintenance and definitely smarter than any other pets I’ve had. They’re great company while I write.

 10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

I’d have to say the American old west. There’s something about that time that reminds me of the beauty of living off the land and living a simple life, much like the AmishJ
