I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (January 8th) evening.

Interview with the hero from Buried Deception in Cherry Blossom Capers:

 1. Nick Porter, tell me the most interesting thing about you.

Besides my charming personality and dashing good looks? Seriously, not much to tell. My life was pretty normal, boring actually until this lady and her too unruly kids crashed into my life—literally. Then things got a little crazy. Actually, reminded me of the days I worked as a detective for the Fairfax PD. Seems life a lifetime ago…

2.  What do you do for fun?

Fun? Can’t remember the last time I actually did anything for fun. Guess I need to get a hobby. What do you suggest, Margaret?

3.  What do you put off doing because you dread it? Besides these interview questions? Laundry, dishes, mowing, changing my sheets…just about anything that has to do with home maintenance.

4.  What are you afraid of most in life?

Me afraid? Hah! I walk on the wild side. I laugh in the face of danger. Hahaha…Um, that was a Lion King reference if you didn’t catch that.

5.  What do you want out of life?

Aren’t you getting a little personal? I mean, Margaret, after all, we’ve just met. What do you think I want out of life? What everyone wants…peace, forgiveness, love…but life has shown me that what you want in life and what life gives you can be too very different things. Next question…

6.  What is the most important thing to you?

La Famiglia…Family is definitely the most important thing to me.

7.  Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book?

If you count watching the movie version, yes. No…that doesn’t count, well then the answer is no. Don’t have the time. Though I probably wouldn’t be opposed to audio books if it was some action story, not a sappy romance, and I could be doing something else.

8.  If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Some people are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, I was born with a silver tongue. Growing up with my mom’s Italian family, I learned to express both love and anger with passion and without discretion. I guess if I could change one thing it would be to have a little more self control with my words and the timing of their delivery. Oh, and maybe to tame the sarcasm monster. It sometimes has a mind, and silver tongue, of its own.

9.  Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

No pet. They’re too much trouble. Besides, it’d probably die of starvation since I’m hardly ever at my apartment.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

I’d go back about eighteen months and the why? You’re getting kind of personal again, Margaret. If your readers want to know the WHY then they’ll have to read the book! Here’s where you can get it!
