» Posted on Nov 4, 2011 in Blog | 15 comments

This week I’m hosting Lena Nelson Dooley with Maggie’s Journey, Lisa Jordan with Lakeside Reunion, Noelle Marchand with Unlawfully Wedded Bride, and Lynda Schab with Mind Over Madi. If you want to enter the drawings for the books, please leave a comment on one of the post during the week with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (November 6th) evening.

Interview with the heroine from Mind Over Madi by Lynda Schab:

1. Madi, tell me the most interesting thing about you.

Hmmm. I would say the most interesting thing about me is that I’m not all that interesting.

2.  What do you do for fun?

Play computer games (like Solitaire) but it’s become an addiction. I’ve been thinking of looking for a Solitaire Addicts Anonymous group.

3.  What do you put off doing because you dread it?

Pretty much everything. Laundry, going through the mail, dealing with my issues. I’ve really been working on the issues thing, though. I’m learning through my counselor that dealing with things right away instead of sweeping them under the rug is the healthier way.

4.  What are you afraid of most in life?

Spiders. Definitely.

5.  What do you want out of life?

I would love to experience total peace, in the midst of all chaos. My family makes this very challenging for me, but I’m determined to get there.

6.  What is the most important thing to you?

For my kids to have a real relationship with Jesus Christ. To really know Him personally and not make the same mistakes I have. Which are plenty, I might add.

7.  Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?

I do like to read. It’s a great escape for me. My favorite genres would have to be romance and mystery.

8.  If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Oh, boy. Is “everything” one thing? I have a lot to work on. If I could change one thing, it would probably be my love for Edy’s Dibs. Not great for the waist line.

9.  Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?

Charlie is our cat. He’s named after Charlie Chaplin, the great silent movie actor, because he never makes a sound- not even a hiss. We suspect he’s really a dog that’s rolled around in a pile of fur and grew a long, skinny tail, because he greets us at the door, tail wagging. He’s a part of our family, even if he does spend most of his time behind the grandfather clock.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

I would probably go back to when my mother was a little girl. To say my mom has issues is a major understatement. I’d love to see just what made her who she is today.
