Interview with the hero from A Lasting Impression by Tamera Alexander:
1. Sutton, tell me the most interesting thing about you.
I’m the personal attorney for the richest woman in America, and my job is to see to it that she stays that way.
2. What do you do for fun?
Ride thoroughbreds.
3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?
Revisiting anything or anyone that makes me remember the day my father died.
4. What are you afraid of most in life?
Settling.
5. What do you want out of life?
A chance to pursue my dream, and help others do the same.
6. What is the most important thing to you?
Authenticity. And honesty.
7. Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book?
I read so many law briefings and depositions that sadly, the opportunity to read for pleasure is rare. But…I still have the dime novels I used to read as a boy. I guess that says something.
8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
A decision I made during the war, after Nashville was occupied by the Federals.
9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?
I’d hardly call Truxton a pet, massive brute of a thoroughbred that he is. But he means a great deal to me, and I’m honored to say he’s mine.
10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?
I have no desire to travel back in time, save for going back to that last moment with my father.
