I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (September 11th) evening.

Interview with the heroine from Hailee by Penny Zeller:

1.Hailee, tell me the most interesting thing about you. Hello, Margaret, it’s a pleasure being a guest on your blog today. I would have to say the most interesting thing about me is that I tend to be clumsy . It’s the oddest thing, really. I’m not clumsy if I’m running, only if I’m walking and tripping over my own feet. I’ve tripped over stairs, while dancing, and pretty much just while walking down the street. It is quite embarrassing to say the least!

2.  What do you do for fun? One thing I have always enjoyed is partaking in relay races, especially since I’m a bit competitive.  I have fond memories of Pa telling me I could run like the wind and I use that to my advantage. Another thing I’ve enjoyed is helping to teach the pupils at The Sanctuary of Promise while I was earning my teaching certificate.

3.  What do you put off doing because you dread it? I find myself putting off sharing with anyone the truth about my past. After all, what would they think of me if they knew? I fear it would jeopardize my new teaching position in Pine Haven, Montana, and my hopes for a new life.

4.  What are you afraid of most in life? More than anything else, I fear never seeing my two younger brothers again. I miss them something dreadful. Now that I’m traveling to a new job miles away in Montana, I fear Reuben, Philip, and I will never be reunited.

5.  What do you want out of life? For as long as I can remember, my dream has been to be a teacher. Even as a young girl, I taught my brothers arithmetic and reading from memory from what I had learned when I attended school. At some point in my life, I would like to get married and have a family, but that is far off into the future.

6.  What is the most important thing to you? My faith is the most important thing to me, followed by my brothers.

7.  Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read? I do love to read. The Bible is my favorite. I also enjoy well-written fiction, such as that by Jane Austen.

8.  If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? If I could change something about myself it would be my past and the crimes I committed to support my brothers.

9.  Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet? No, I have never owned a pet.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why? If I could travel back in time, I would travel back to when my parents were alive. My mother taught me so much about God and about life in general. I loved to climb into her lab and snuggle, especially during frightening thunderstorms. Pa was a pillar of strength and worked hard to provide for his family. He was loving and a Godly man of intergrity. After my parents died, I wasn’t sure how I would continue on without them. I miss my parents dearly and would do anything to have her here

Thank you, Margaret, for graciously allowing me to be interviewed on your blog!
