This week I’m hosting Merrillee Whren with Hometown Dad, Kay Marshall Strom with The Triumph of Grace, and Naomi Musch with The Green Veil (an ebook). If you want to enter the drawings, please leave a comment on one of the post during the week with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (February 13th) evening.
Interview with the hero from Hometown Dad by Merrillee Whren:
1. Nathan Keller, tell me the most interesting thing about you.
I’m not sure what the most interesting thing about me is, but I have a couple of
unusual talents. I can do math in my head at an amazing speed, and I can hit an
astonishing number of homeruns in a minute on my computer baseball game.
2. What do you do for fun?
I love baseball and anything to do with baseball. My favorite team is the Cincinnati
Reds. I am a youth baseball coach. My family’s bank sponsors a team every year.
3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?
Since the breakup with my former girlfriend, I have put off dating again. I dread the thought of trying to make a new relationship work after the disastrous ending to the last one.
4. What are you afraid of most in life?
I’m most afraid of having my Crohn’s disease disrupt my life.
5. What do you want out of life?
I want to follow in my father’s footsteps and run the family bank.
6. What is the most important thing to you?
My family is the most important thing to me. I love living in a small town surrounded by my relatives.
7. Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book?
I enjoy reading nonfiction books the most. I especially love history or anything that has to do with business relationships or how to be successful.
8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wish I could change the fact that I have Crohn’s disease. Although it is mostly under control, my life would be easier without it.
9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?
I don’t have a pet. I work a lot of hours and am away from home a good deal of the
time. That wouldn’t be fair to a pet.
10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?
I would like to travel back in time to the founding of the town of Kellerville by my
forefathers and be there when our family bank started.
sounds most interesting. thanks for the interview.

I can't wait to read this book. My brother-in-law has lived with Crohn's disease since he was 17. I have never seen a book written with the main character suffering from this illness, which is a really terrible illness. Thanks, Merrillee, for writing this. Most people have never even heard of Crohn's. Harriet Berg

Thanks, Melinda. I'm certainly glad you enjoy my books.
Harriet, I wrote the story because I wanted to draw awareness of Crohn's disease because my daughter has Crohn's. She has been doing well since getting the right combination of medications. Praise God.
Charity, I just put your book in the mail today. I hope you enjoy it.
I would love to be entered in the drawing for Home Town Dad. I can really empathize with the hero since I have had colorectal cancer. Both affect your intestines and both change your life in a way that you don't want. It sounds like a good book to read. Thanks for the chance to win.

If you're giving away Hometown Dad, count me in. Great interview, except at first I didn't see that it was "Nathan" speaking, and my heart stopped for a moment when I read that part about breaking up with the girlfriend. My bad! Lindas352[at]comcast[dot]net.
Sounds like a great book. Would love to win a copy.
Smiles & Blessings,
