Love Finds You under the Mistletoe: An Appalachian Christmas

A promise to her dying sister compels Julia Mayfield to take her young nephew to Mistletoe, Kentucky, a tiny town tucked away in the Appalachian Mountains. Sparks fly when she meets David Armstrong, a World War II veteran like herself. Even as shadows from the past weave a dangerous web around Julia and David, will their love flourish like the mistletoe that blankets the nearby hills?

Love Finds You under the Mistletoe: Once Upon a Christmas Eve

Holly Goodnight’s store has just been voted best Christmas shop in America. All the new publicity draws flamboyant novelist Van Keaton to the cozy town of Noel, Missouri, demanding to write Holly’s story – a dramatic tale of misfortune and triumph. She is swept up in his world of beautiful words and fanciful interludes. . .until Owen Quigly, her lifelong best friend, launches a plan to win her back.

Linore Rose Burkard’s bio:

Linore Rose Burkard grew up in New York City in a family of ten (eight children). She graduated from the City University of New York with a magna cum laude degree in English Literature, and loves English history and literature to this day. She now lives in Ohio with her husband and five children where she enjoys writing her books, creating her monthly ezine (“Regency Reflections”–free to anyone who subscribes at her website–LinoreBurkard(dot)com), and giving workshops on writing, Jane Austen, or marketing. When not writing or speaking, she enjoys reading (if she can squeeze it in) decorating, drawing, art collecting, swimming, and gardening. Linore’s family loves to be together, whether having dinner, playing a game, watching a movie, or in the backyard. Linore also enjoys activities at church, singing in the choir, her friendships with women, and studying the Word of God.(She blogs about her devotional life at todayswomanoffaith(dot)blogspot(dot)com.

Faith, family, friends, fellowship–these are the things that make life worth living for Linore. Getting to research and write about periods like Regency England are just icing on the cake!

Blurb for The Courtry House Courtship:

Linore Burkard’s fans devoured her first two Regency novels Before the Season Ends and The House in Grosvenor Square. Now, as her third novel opens, the year is 1818 and Miss Beatrice Forsythe is determined to marry well. After all, her sister, Ariana, married The Paragon, Mr. Phillip Mornay, five years earlier–which all but guarantees that she, Beatrice, can also make a famous match to a wealthy man.

But her sister and husband have disappeared from high society as they raise a family at their country estate. Can Beatrice persuade them to chaperone her in London? And what about Beatrice’s business with the curate, Mr. O’Brien, whom she rashly promised to marry years earlier. At seventeen now, she has no wish to marry a mere clergyman—despite his agreeable countenance and gentle, understanding ways.

When Mr. Tristan Barton becomes the tenant of the Manor House, Beatrice’s hopes seem to have found their object. But when Ariana falls gravely ill, secrets come to light, motives are revealed, and the pretenses that are easy to keep up in the darkness begin to crumble. Hearts are bared, truths uncovered, and when all is said and done, a country house courtship like no other has occurred!

As always, Linore Burkard delivers “spirited romance for the Jane Austen soul.”
