Interview with the heroine from Yuletide Sanctuary by Terri Reed:
1. Lauren Curtis, tell me the most interesting thing about you.
I’m an artist. I love to draw and paint the world I see. I try to put emotion into my work to evoke a response from the viewer, because I believe life is full of emotion. We as humans are constantly sifting and shifting through emotions to the world around us.
2. What do you do for fun?
Well, I draw and paint. Art has always been my passion, my hobby and later my career.
3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?
For a long time after a horrible incident derailed my art career I dread painting with oils. But Sean helped me to overcome the debilitating memories that kept me for my art.
4. What are you afraid of most in life?
Being helpless and at the mercy of others.
5. What do you want out of life?
I want a family of my own, with children and a husband to lavish with love.
6. What is the most important thing to you?
My relationship with God. For a long time I felt abandoned by God but He was always with me. I just let life’s circumstance distract me from His love.
7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?
I do read and I love romantic stories of people overcoming their fears to commit to one person. I fully believe that what keeps people apart is fear.
8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Hmmm, that’s a tough question. There’s an easy answer—the results of the incident that stole my art from me. But beyond that, I guess I’d like to be braver.
9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?
I don’t have a pet. I’d like one though. I think a dog, because they love you know matter what.
10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?
I’d travel back to the horrible nightmare incident and make it turn out differently.
