Murder in Plain Sight
This week I’m hosting Marta Perry with Murder in Plain Sight and Deanna Klingel with Just for the Moment. If you want to enter the drawings, please leave a comment on one of the post during the week with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (December 5th) evening.

Interview with the heroine for Murder in Plain Sight by Marta Perry:

1. Jessica Langdon, tell me the most interesting thing about you. I’m an attorney, and I tend to define myself by my job. Right now I’m a total fish out of water—picture a big city lawyer tramping through the fields of an Amish farm and you’ll know just how far out!

2. What do you do for fun? I work so many hours a week that there’s not much time left for fun, but when there is, I enjoy theater, concerts, galleries, good restaurants—all the things the city has to offer.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it? Looking for a serious relationship. All the guys I date are just like me, young professionals whose focus is on their career, pretty much to the exclusion of everything else.

4. What are you afraid of most in life? I’ve spent my life trying to live up to my father, and my biggest fear is letting him down.

5. What do you want out of life? A month ago, I’d have said success. But my enforced stay in Amish country is starting to make a change in me. Maybe life doesn’t have to be all about career, but how do I know I can succeed at anything else?

6. What is the most important thing to you? Being true to myself, if only I can figure out who that self is.

7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read? I read the big bestsellers so I can talk about them intelligently, but if I really want to settle down for a great read, I go back to the books I enjoyed as a child, like Little Women…stories about families loving and helping each other.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I’d like to have confidence in myself in areas other than the law.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet? No. I was never allowed a pet as a child, because I went to a boarding school, and now a pet doesn’t fit into my lifestyle.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why? I’d go back just far enough to see my mother before she died.
