Interview with the heroine from Facelift by Leanna Ellis:

1.Kaye, tell me the most interesting thing about you.
I’m not sure I’m as interesting as the things that happen around me. Izzie, my teenage daughter, is always doing something. Then there’s my ex-mother-in-law! And my ex! I don’t even want to think about what he’s doing.

2. What do you do for fun?
I love to hang out with my daughter and her friends that she brings over to the house. That is, when Izzie isn’t in one of her moods. You know how teens can be.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?
Taxes. Calling my ex-mother-in-law back.

4. What are you afraid of most in life?
Losing control and failing in holding my family together, which is what my daughter most needs.

5. What do you want out of life?
God’s will, which is what I just stated above. Isn’t that God’s will?

6. What is the most important thing to you?
My family, especially my daughter.

7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?
I didn’t get to finish college but I loved the literature class I took my freshman year. So I enjoy reading the classics.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My first thought was that I wouldn’t have made stupid mistakes in my life. But, I am who I am today because I learned from those mistakes.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?
Do I have a pet??? Well, lately we have had a guest visiting our house—Cousin It. It is the most rambunctious dog I’ve ever met. I’ve come to love this crazy dog but at times she drives me crazy with all of her antics.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?
Since I’m a decorator, I think I’d like to go back to the Renaissance period where such wonderful art was created. Or maybe just to Paris…any time.
