Interview with the hero from White Doves by Shannon Vannatter:

1. Hayden Winters, tell me the most interesting thing about you. I’m a romantic. Even though trusting a woman scares the bejeebies out of me, I’m a big softy and wish I could find someone as fiercely loyal as I am.

2. What do you do for fun? After I get home from my mail route, I love riding horses with my paraplegic nephew, Brady. It makes him forget about his wheelchair.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it? Talking things out with my parents, who can’t forgive me for Brady’s accident.

4. What are you afraid of most in life? Women. You can’t trust them. I got burned once, but it won’t happen again, no matter how drawn to Laken I feel.

5. What do you want out of life? To make sure Brady has everything he needs and can take care of himself after I’m gone.

6. What is the most important thing to you? Brady

7. Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book? Even though Brady is 7 now, I still love reading to him. We both love the Chronicles of Narnia.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Even though I don’t trust women, and I have Brady, I’m lonely. I wish I wasn’t so afraid to trust Laken.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet? I don’t have a pet. I would like to get Brady a service dog.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why? For obvious reasons, the moment before Brady’s accident. Even back farther, before my sister’s cancer diagnosis, so she’d still be here and the accident would never have happened.
