Too Close to Home
This week I’m hosting Sandra Robbins with Mountain Peril, Roseanna White with A Stray Drop of Blood and Lynette Eason with Too Close to Home. If you want to enter the drawing for Sarah’s book, please leave a comment on one of the post during the week with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (April 4th) evening.

Interview with the heroine from Too Close to Home by Lynette Eason:

1. Samantha Cash, tell me the most interesting thing about you. I think the most interesting thing about me would be my job. I’ve always been a computer freak, but being able to put those computer skills to use for the FBI is a rush. Catching criminals who prey on the innocent gives me a satisfaction I’ve yet find anywhere else.

2. What do you do for fun? Fun? Hm. Let me think about that one. You know, I haven’t really had a lot of fun in my life lately. It seems all I do is work all the time. But I really enjoy just hanging out with my family. Especially my sister, Jamie. She’s had a rough time of it. And I like basketball. Watching, playing, whatever.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it? Cleaning house or cooking. Ugh. Not really priorities to be honest. I much prefer heading over to Jamie’s house and ordering a pizza.

4. What are you afraid of most in life? Letting my sister down again. I’m ten years older than she is and one night after a sibling squabble, she disappeared. Two months later, we found her left for dead. I’ve felt responsible ever since.

5. What do you want out of life? I want my life to be pleasing to God and I desperately want to catch the bad guys. My sister’s kidnapping really changed something inside me. I want to see justice done. That’s my focus. Although, to be honest, now that Connor Wolfe has come into my life, I find myself thinking about what it would be like to fall in love, get married, have a family of my own…yeah, Connor’s made me think about a lot of things like that lately. Now if we could just find the time to see where it all might go…

6. What is the most important thing to you? God, family, and my job. In that order.

7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read? I love to read, I just don’t have a lot of time. I work such crazy hours that when often if I sit down with a good book, I doze off. That’s totally non-reflective of the book’s contents. Anyway, I like comedy. Doing what I do, I need a good laugh every once in a while and if I can find a book that makes me laugh, that’s the one I want to read.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I tend to be a workaholic. I need to learn to relax and realize the world’s not going to come to an end if I’m not chasing the criminals.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet? No, no pets. And it’s not that I don’t want one, I just don’t have the time to devote to an animal. If I did have one, though, I’d like a dog. Maybe one day.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why? I would go back to the night my sister was kidnapped and change the outcome of that night. I’d control my temper and never let her get out of the car.
