This week I’m hosting Mae Nunn with Her Forever Family, Nicole O’Dell with Magna and Making Waves, and Robin Shope with The Easter Edition. If you want to enter the drawing for Sarah’s book, please leave a comment on one of the post during the week with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (April 11th) evening.

Heroine Interview from The Easter Edition by Robin Shope:

Interview with the heroine:

1. Carol Horn, tell me the most interesting thing about you.

I design wedding gowns and I am not married, or even engaged, or even dating for that matter. I work part time at The Turtle Creek Newspaper and the rest of the time is spent at my mother’s business, Vera’s Bridal Shop, designing one of a kind bridal gowns. At times, I feel I am a voyageur listening to happy brides-to-be talk about their beloved. It makes me wonder if it will ever be my turn?

2. What do you do for fun?

Designing wedding gowns is my fun. However, during the summer I love to go fishing (really!) and ride my bike through the park.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?

I put off doing the dishes. They tend to pile up a lot because of this. Once everything is washed and back in place, I feel so much better.

4. What are you afraid of most in life?

I am afraid of being alone for the rest of my life. I have this horrid vision of sewing everyone else’s bridal gowns for the rest of my life. Always a bridal gown maker, never a bride.

5. What do you want out of life?

I want to serve the Lord. For a very long time my mother was ill and so my time was spent seeing to the shop, seeing to the newspaper, and never doing anything for me. I am in the midst of finding what God has for me in this life.

6. What is the most important thing to you?

The most important thing to me is to serve God fervently.

7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?

I love to read romance books.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I wish I were more hopeful.

9. Do you have a pet?

If so, what is it and why that pet? I am taking care of my mother’s cat in her absence. Its name is Sagebrush.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

I would travel back in time to when I was a little girl and both my parents were alive. I felt so alive and filled with hope then. I will recapture that feeling one day again.
