This week I’m hosting Robin Miller with Deliver Us From Evil and Ethel Herr with An Introduction to Christian Writing. If you want to enter the drawing for the books, please leave a comment on one of the post during the week with your email address. I will not
enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (Feb. 28th) evening.

Interview with Robin Caroll:

1. What made you start writing? I love telling stories. Always have. My mother tells me that I would write entire epics of my Barbies and the family would have to sit around and watch as I acted them out.

2. How long have you been writing? When did you sell your first book? I’ve written all my life. I began to seriously write fiction toward publication in 2004. I sold my first book in the fall of 2006.

3. How do you handle rejections? We celebrate by going out to dinner!

4. Why do you write? Romantic Suspense with a mystery bent

5. What would you be doing with your free time if you weren’t writing? Scrapbooking

6. What are you working on right now? The 3rd book in the “evil” trilogy

7. Do you put yourself into your books/characters? I think every author puts a little of themselves into each of their main characters.

8. Tell us about the book you have out right now. DELIVER US FROM EVIL is about a beautiful yet tough woman working in a beautiful yet tough setting, Brannon Callahan is a search and rescue helicopter pilot for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Strong faith and a decorated history of service have kept her one step ahead of on-the-job dangers, but there’s no precedent for what’s about to happen. After a blizzard takes down a small plane carrying U.S. Marshal Roark Holland (already haunted by a recent tragedy), Brannon must save him in more ways than one and safeguard the donor heart he’s transporting to a government witness on the edge of death. Otherwise the largest child trafficking ring in history—with shocking links from Thailand to Tennessee—will slip further away into darkness along the Appalachian Trail.

9. Do you have any advice for other writers? Study the industry. Learn the skills. Hone your talent. And if you are called to write, don’t give up.

10. How important is faith in your books? Very. When I made the decision to write for the CBA, I told myself I’d share my faith and Scripture lessons in my books.

11. What themes do you like to write about? I notice I write about forgiveness and grace an awful lot. Maybe those are lessons I deal with constantly. lol

12. What is your favorite book you’ve written and why? Now that’s like asking a parent who their favorite child is! LOL Each book has something special about it that is near and dear to my heart.

13. What is your writing schedule like? Normally, I try to write between 8-2, to write around my children’s school schedule. But when I’m on deadline, or life has interrupted, it’s as I can.
